International Neuropsychological Society Mid -Year meeting

The International Neuropsychological Society Mid -Year meeting will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 2- 5, 2008. This meeting will be jointly held with the Argentine Neuropsychological Society (SONEPSA).

The theme of the meeting is “New Paradigms in Neuropsychology: Cognition, Behavior and Emotion” and it intends to cover the most relevant changes that have taken place in the last decade, such as the growing interest on social cognition, emotion and psychiatric illnesses, and the importance of genetics, neural plasticity and functional neuroimaging.

The interaction with colleagues from many different countries will undoubtedly stimulate a creative exchange of ideas and will be personally rewarding. El próximo Congreso Internacional de Neuropsicología, organizado por la International Neuropsychological Society (INS) y la Sociedad de Neuropsicología de Argentina (SONEPSA), tendrá lugar del 2 al 5 de Julio de 2008 en Buenos Aires.

El tema central del congreso : “Nuevos paradigmas en neuropsicología: cognición, conducta y emoción”, fue propuesto con la intención de que refleje los relevantes cambios que han tenido lugar en neuropsicología durante la última década , tales como el creciente interés en la cognición social, la emoción y enfermedades psiquiátricas, la importancia de la genética, la neuroplasticidad, el aporte de las neuroimágenes, o los nuevos desarrollos teóricos en conceptos claves como la memoria, por ejemplo.

Además de constituir un importante encuentro a nivel científico, con la presencia de relevantes personalidades de la neuropsicología mundial, será también una excelente oportunidad para el encuentro social, en un clima de camaradería, y en la maravillosa ciudad de Buenos Aires.
